Rings featuring Mark Patterson’s proprietary new setting, Smooth Set

Corona Del Mar, Calif.--Mark Patterson is celebrating his brand’s 15 anniversary with the launch of a proprietary setting for the bridal collection.

20160509 Vegas-countdown-articleThe countdown to Las Vegas market week has begun.
Smooth Set is a new technique that completely recesses the diamonds into the metal on a band or shank without using prongs or a bezel-style setting.

The brand said the setting is its “natural evolution” of engagement rings and wedding bands that feel smooth to the touch and also have a modern appeal to a young, active generation.

Smooth Set will be unveiled at the Couture show, which runs from June 2 to 6 at the Wynn Las Vegas.

Since 2001, Mark Patterson has worked to create near-weightless bridal settings by simplifying designs and lowering the height of the center stones to work with a modern lifestyle.

The Promise bridal collection features wedding rings and engagement sets that fit together seamlessly and without gaps.
