Vicenzaoro Is Getting a Multi-Million Dollar Upgrade
The Italian Exhibition Group, which owns the jewelry trade show, plans to invest 35 million euro, or $41.4 million, in renovations to the Vicenza exhibition center.

Vicenza, Italy--Jewelry trade show Vicenzaoro is due to receive some major upgrades.
The owner of the show, the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), announced details of its plan to renovate Fiera di Vicenza, the city of Vicenza’s exhibition center where Vicenzaoro and other trade shows are held.
Renovations will take place in Hall 2, spanning 26,000 square meters (279,862 square feet) and cost 35 million euros ($41.4 million). Architect Volkwin Marg, a partner of GMP Von Gerkan, Mark & Partners Studio in Hamburg, Germany, designed the project.
While Hall 2 currently spans five levels, the renovations will condense it to two levels with “functional and sustainable technologies,” IEG said, which will allow it to host different types of events while meeting the needs of the Vicenzaoro jewelry trade show.
The IEG also said that despite an unfavorable market environment, Vicenzaoro has gained a stronger foothold in Europe and the Middle East in the last three years. Success in the latter region is due to the show’s presence in Dubai.
The show previously renovated Hall 7 at the Fiera di Vicenza, which allowed it to organize the space into “communities” of exhibitors. Hall 7 reopened in 2015.
Vicenzaoro will next host the jewelry community Vicenzaoro@JCK at JCK Las Vegas from June 1 to 4, promoting “Made in Italy” designs.
Then the jewelry trade show will host its annual September event from Sept. 22 to 26 at Fiera di Vienza, followed by the VOD Dubai International Jewellery Show in Dubai from November 14 to 17.
