National Jeweler Bringing Back ‘State of the Majors’
The popular report will be printed in the fall and contain two lists: the $100 Million Supersellers and Top 50 North American Retail Jewelry Chains by store count.
New York--National Jeweler is resurrecting “The State of the Majors,” its once-annual report that gives a broad overview of the performance of the country’s largest jewelers and the state of jewelry retailing today.
While National Jeweler is now an online-only publication, The State of the Majors will be produced in print and available online.
Both will be published in October. The online version of The State of the Majors will be in PDF form and will require registration to view.
Last produced in 2012 (analyzing 2011 financials), The State of the Majors consists of two separate lists.
The $100 Million Supersellers ranks the U.S.’s largest jewelers by annual sales, including both specialty jewelers, such as Signet and Tiffany & Co., and multi-line retailers, like Wal-Mart and J.C. Penney.
The Top 50 North American Retail Jewelry Chains list ranks specialty jewelers only, by number of stores.
The report also will include in-depth articles analyzing the current state of the U.S. jewelry market.
