This Halloween, One Retailer Is Paying People to Watch Disney Movies
From “Hocus Pocus” to “Halloweentown,” Shane Co. will award one winner $1,000 for holding a spooky movie marathon.
The Colorado-based jewelry store chain will award $1,000 to one person who watches 10 of Disney’s Halloween movies and can correctly answer questions about each.
There is a slew of spooky films to choose from, including “Hocus Pocus,” the “Halloweentown” saga, “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” and “Edward Scissorhands.”
Those interested can apply to take part in the contest by filling out an entry form on Shane Co.’s website.
Applicants are required to share their full name, birthday, location and email address, and to explain why they should be selected for the movie marathon and which Halloween movie is their favorite.
Applicants are required to be 18 years of age or older and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
Shane Co. will provide contest participants with a $50 Amazon gift card that can be used to purchase a Disney+ subscription to watch the movies or to buy any movies not available on the streaming platform.
“You can either go it alone or find a partner to dive into a night of spooky Disney flicks. It’s OK to call for backup if you scare easily, as long as you answer our questionnaire afterward without any help,” said Shane Co. on its website.
The deadline for contest entries is Nov. 1.
Shane Co. will announce the winner on Nov. 14.
