Would-be burglar targets different type of store
Police in Pennsylvania recently arrested a man in the middle of an alleged attempt to rob a jewelry store that also sells guns and ammunition.
Tannersville, Pa.--Police in Pennsylvania recently arrested a man who allegedly was trying to rob a jewelry store that also sells guns and ammunition.
According to the Pocono Record, officers were dispatched to Bella Mia Jewels and Firearms in Tannersville on Sept. 6 after the store’s burglar alarm went off. Bella Mia not only buys and sells gold, silver and jewelry, but also firearms and ammunition, according to its website.
When police arrived at the store, they saw a broken window and also heard glass breaking inside. They then established a perimeter and made numerous attempts to get into contact with the suspect in the store.
About a half an hour later, Kishime Mccleod-Summerville was taken into custody when he attempted to leave the store through that same broken window with a handgun in his possession.
It is unclear what jewels, if any, he had in his possession at the time of his arrest.
According to the Record, Mccleod-Summerville faces charges of burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, criminal trespass and criminal mischief charges.
