Blue Nile adds another brand, Zac Posen
Fashion designer Zac Posen will sell his new collections of engagement rings and fine jewelry on Blue Nile beginning next month.
New York--Fashion designer Zac Posen will sell his new collections of engagement rings and fine jewelry on Blue Nile beginning next month.
The “Truly Zac Posen” line is engagement rings and wedding bands while the “ZAC Zac Posen” collection will feature earrings, bracelets and pendants. As reported last month, diamond and gemstone wholesaler Fabrikant-Tara International, a division of Tara Jewels Holding, will manufacture the jewelry.
Tara Jewels Holding is a supplier to a number of major retailers, including Walmart, Sterling Jewelers Inc. and Zale Corp., which now is under the ownership of Sterling parent company Signet Jewelers Ltd.
No photos of the collections were available at press time.
Posen said he’s always wanted to design jewelry to create a perfect accessory to match and complete his clothing designs.
“Zac Posen’s work is renowned for its strong, feminine aesthetic, which has become a favorite of style leaders and is particularly popular among the Hollywood set,” said Blue Nile President, CEO and Chairman Harvey Kanter.
Blue Nile kicked off its designer collaborations in 2012, when the company teamed up with wedding dress designer Monique Lhuillier for a line of engagement rings and wedding bands inspired by her couture gowns.
After finding success with that partnership, Blue Nile announced in March that it was launching its “Designer Collective,” which showcases jewelry from a select number of established and emerging brands including Anne Sportun, Bree Richey and Robert Leser.
