Once again, diamonds reigned supreme at an awards show, adorning celebrities’ fingers, wrists and ears though not necessarily their necks.
The 2013 American Music Awards, held Sunday at the Nokia Theatre L.A. in Los Angeles, had the stars bringing out the diamond rings, bangles and earrings, though statement necklaces were notably absent, possibly due to higher neck lines of many of the dresses.
In addition to accessorizing with fine jewelry, some AMA attendees left with an extra piece, thanks to Maryland-based jeweler Stacie Spencer of Stacie Jewelry Wearable Art & Original Designs, who created 140 sterling silver baubles to give those who came through the gifting suite at the AMAs. Her work was noticed on her Facebook business page, and she was contacted to create jewelry for gift bags.
