San Diego—The Accredited Gemologists Association has opened registration for its half-day virtual gemological education conference in June.

The 2021 AGA Virtual Conference will be held on Thursday, June 3, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. EDT.

Presentations will focus on diamonds and the diamond market, given by three experts: Michael Goldstein will cover the growing popularity of repurposing old and antique-cut diamonds; Dr. Thomas Hainschwang will discuss his latest research on color treatments of diamonds; and Clare Blatherwick will talk about the effects of the pandemic on the high-end diamond jewelry auction market.

“At AGA, our focus is on providing invaluable educational opportunities to our network of loyal AGA members and gem enthusiasts while supporting the future of gemology,” AGA President Teri Brossmer said. “Our half-day 2021 AGA Virtual Conference promises to remain true to our mission by delivering the latest, unbiased gemological education experience our members and the industry count on.”

All are invited to attend. The cost is $35 for AGA members and $50 for non-members.
