It will take place July 24 at the Javits Center at the same time as the JA New York Summer show.

New York--Job-seekers and recruiters can now register online for the Gemological Institute of America’s upcoming Jewelry Career Fair, scheduled to take place July 24 in New York.
The event will be held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center during the JA New York Summer show.
The career fair opens at 8 a.m. and goes until 1 p.m. in 1E Hall in the convention center. Recruiting and one-on-one career coaching will run from 10:15 a.m. until the end of the fair.
GIA’s career fair is free for job-seekers and open to the public, though anyone interested in attending is urged to register prior to the event. They can do so at GIA.edu.
Billed as the industry’s largest recruiting event, the career fair gives attendees the chance to meet with representatives from a number of companies across the gem and jewelry industry--companies like Stuller, Jewelry Television and Circa Inc.
The GIA said that dozens of firms are expected to participate in the New York career fair this year.
Employers interested in recruiting at this year’s career fair can also sign up online at GIA.edu or by contacting GIA’s Career Services office at (760) 603-4542 or careerservices@gia.edu.
Prior to the start of the fair, GIA President and CEO Susan Jacques will moderate the opening panel, “Job Success in Today’s Market.”

GIA hosted its first Jewelry Career Fair in Santa Monica, California in 1991 and since then has held more than 60 events in India, Las Vegas, New York and its headquarters in Carlsbad, California.
Following the New York event, the GIA will hold its next career fair on Friday, Oct. 13 in Carlsbad.
