From the record-setting price for a white diamond from Angola’s Lulo mine to the best Oscars jewelry, it’s the week that was in photos.
The 404.2-carat diamond pulled from Angola’s Lulo Mine last month sold for $39,580 per carat, a record price for a white diamond uncovered at the site.
The largest recorded diamond ever found in Angola sold for $16 million this week, setting a record price for a white diamond uncovered at the country’s Lulo mine.
In other diamond news, Stuller announced it is now carrying lab-grown diamonds and a report showed that rough diamond sales and polished diamond prices continued their recovery in February.
Diamonds also made the scene at Sunday’s Academy Awards show, particularly in bold necklaces.
