Claire’s To Offer Subscription Service

The quarterly themed boxes will feature on-trend jewelry, hair accessories, handbags, and more.

Claire’s has introduced its first subscription service, sending out quarterly themed boxes filled with jewelry, accessories, and more.
Hoffman Estates, Ill.—Claire’s Stores Inc is hopping aboard the subscription service train, introducing its quarterly “Cdrop” boxes as it looks to appeal to Gen Z, millennial, and even younger customers.
Subscription services have been gaining traction with jewelry and watch companies, including The Last Line’s monthly earring delivery service and Breitling’s #BreitlingSelect, a subscription service in which participants can try up to three watches in a 12-month period.

The kid-friendly chain offers shoppers three themed boxes to choose from, each with its own different fashion jewelry and accessories inside.
The “GlitzyDrop” box is all about earrings, including up to 12 sets of studs, hoops, and dangling styles, It’s designed with shoppers 12 years or older in mind.
The “VibeyDrop” box caters to the older teen and young adult crowd but is suitable for those 9 years of age or older, said Claire’s. 
The box will feature five to seven items from several categories, including makeup, handbags, accessories, and trendy jewelry, like layered necklace multipacks for those looking to join the #neckmess craze.
The “BitsyDrop” box is for younger consumers, ages three to eight, and includes hair accessories like butterfly clips and scrunchies, toys like plushies and popper fidget toys, jewelry and more. It will also include five to seven items.

Customers can subscribe to quarterly drops for a year at $30 per box or buy a one-time box for $32.
Subscribers can switch between themed boxes each quarter. There are also the options to skip a box, pause and restart a membership, or cancel at any time.
The boxes are available now with the next set of boxes launching in December.
