Pristine Gems Names New Director of European Sales
Gemologist Lauren Gayda has previously worked at The Clear Cut, Taylor & Hart, and Effy Jewelry.

Gayda, a graduate gemologist, will lead the company’s European expansion, strengthening its foothold in the luxury watch and fine jewelry markets.
Gayda has more than a decade of experience in the jewelry industry, with a background in diamond and gemstone sourcing, sales strategy, and brand development.
Prior to joining Pristine Gems, she was director of fine jewelry at The Clear Cut, diamond and gemstone specialist at jeweler Taylor & Hart, and head gemologist at Effy Jewelry.
In 2024, Gayda founded Laugems, a boutique jewelry company that specialized in custom designs and gemstone sourcing for private clients.
“Lauren embodies the values and craftsmanship that define Pristine Gems,” said Kunal Shah, president of Pristine Gems.
“Her deep understanding of the European luxury market and her commitment to integrity and innovation make her the ideal leader for this next phase of our growth.”
In her new role, based in Zurich, Switzerland, Gayda will be tasked with delivering diamonds and gemstones to European luxury brands and artisans.
Gayda is excited about her new role, said the company, and is looking forward to working with industry partners who share Pristine Gems’ commitment to artistry and quality.
New York-based Pristine Gems is a supplier of natural calibrated fancy shape diamonds and colored gemstones.
