Two Arrested in Fatal Calif. Jewelry Store Robbery
One more suspect remains at large in an August incident involving the robbing of a Fresno store and the fatal shooting of the store owner’s son.

Fresno, Calif.--Police arrested two suspects who were wanted for allegedly robbing a jewelry store earlier this month and fatally shooting the owner’s son.
The Fresno Police Department arrested Angelo Sanchez, 17, and Angel Morelos, 18, on Wednesday.
The incident in which they allegedly were involved occurred on Aug. 5, when six suspects pulled into the parking lot of Stereo DJ Outlet/Mari’s Jewelry in Fresno, California.
Three of the suspects went inside, grabbed jewelry and ran out of the store. Store owner Maricela Gamez and her son, 22-year-old Christopher Leon, pursued them. As Leon held Morelos down, he pulled out a gun and shot Leon in the head.
Leon later died in the hospital from his injuries.
Three of the six suspects already were in custody prior to Sanchez and Morelos’s arrests.
There still is one more suspect at large, whose identity and whereabouts currently are unknown.
Fresno Crime Stoppers still is seeking information regarding the remaining suspect. They can be contacted by calling 559-498-7867.
